James McAnally is the Medical Director of the renal program and chair of nephrology at Trinitas. He trained in nephrology at Georgetown University Medical Center under the guidance of Dr. Ges. Dr. Ges was a pioneer in nephrology who was in large part responsible for U.S. Congress passing legislation to establish a federal end stage renal disease program.

Dr. McAnally has 35 years' experience. He is board certified in nephrology and has authored numerous papers.

"Dr. McAnally is very passionate about the best possible care," said Joseph McTernan, Director of Renal Services at Trinitas. "He feels for his patients and does everything possible to help them, including establishing the THRIVE program. It's rare to find a physician with as much passion and concern to improve patient outcomes in all aspects of renal care."
